Last Saturday I started my day with a stroll around the Botanic
Garden looking for flowers that had woken up after winter... and...
there were some! Oh these little irises that were everywhere... Dark
blue or light blue... only 3 or 4 inches tall, but they looked absolutely
gorgeous!
I followed my usual path and when I turned around first bend... I
found these beautiful snowdrops. So delicate and simple... so white. I
think they are a better representation of spring! Love them!
Here are these little irises again... this time pale, but still stunningly beautiful, aren't they?
The bees were busy buzzing around and looking for some nectar to bring back to the hive ;)
There were only 3 cherry trees in bloom, but there will be more
soon... so I am looking forward to seeing more of them in the coming
days...
What I liked most was the lack of grass... most of the flowers that were already blooming were low, just a few inches above the ground and took full advantage of the sun before the grass grew and covered the soil. No complaints from me... I like these bold and small flowers even more for their braveness...
It was a beautiful morning, and I was glad that I was able to get there when the most warm-hungry flowers had just opened and were basking in the spring sun...
The pictures were taken on March 22, 2025.
