About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Graffiti of RiNo and river walk in Golden

I started that Saturday exploring the waking flowers at the Denver Botanic Garden (click here - The first blooms...) and ended it in Golden, walking along the Clear Creek. But in between those two events, there was something else - mural hunting in the heart of Denver....

I've done this before, exploring graffiti in the Santa Fe Art District (click here - Santa Fe Art District, Graffiti) and areas near downtown (click here - Downtown Denver... old buildings and some graffiti...), but this time I went to RiNo in hope to find something nice.

And I found a lot of interesting art there...

While we say “Mural Hunting”, tracking down spectacular art murals in RiNo isn’t exactly hard to do. Local artists have adorned the walls of this neighborhood with colorful and innovative street art that brings creative expression well beyond its galleries’ walls.

RiNo or the River North Arts District, is where “art is made”, boasting historic warehouses and factory buildings that are home to everything from music venues, restaurants, breweries, and a plethora of art galleries and studios.

The district's interesting blend of urban charm and unique industrial revival makes it a great destination for visitors. Historic warehouses and factories now house jazz bars, restaurants, brewpubs, art galleries and working studios.

RiNo boasts a diverse mix of creative businesses ranging from visual artists, designers and furniture makers, to craft distillers and brewers, winemakers, creators of unique outdoor gear and small-batch coffee roasters. The art definitely extends beyond gallery walls in this neighborhood, with its colorful and innovative street art murals in alleys and on buildings around almost every corner!

And... it is very true that finding some nice graffiti there is an easy task. So I really enjoy just wandering aimlessly and pointing my camera left and right... Enjoying colorful and intricate  scenes that street artists created...

After a couple of hours, I got a little tired of the urban environment and decided that I needed something else to finish this beautiful day in the city, so I moved to the foothills town of Golden...

Golden is a perfect place to spend a couple of hours (click here - Once upon a time... quiet Saturday in Golden...), but this time I decided to only have a river walk, skipping the town streets. So I followed the stream and enjoyed the surrounding views, still bare and winter-cold...

Yeah, don't tell me that the early spring landscape is a little boring and not very exciting... But believe it or not, somehow you can feel that spring is just around the corner, and it will take just a day or two before fresh green leaves sprout out and recolor these views. But at that moment I was enjoying this short moment in between winter and spring... when the colors were dull and faded and trees naked and colorless...

The pictures were taken on March 22, 2025.
