I've always loved traveling and exploring new places. It's so exciting to spend time in a new city, wander around and learn about it... I spent last weekend in Houston, Texas, but I was busy most of the time and didn't have a chance to explore... too bad...
All I had was an hour in the morning and maybe a couple more hours the
next afternoon. And the place we stayed wasn't very picturesque or
interesting to explore... I wish I had time to go and see the downtown
area, but... we had what we had and nothing more. Sure, there were a lot
of skyscrapers here and there. But I've never been a fan of them. I
mostly find them boring, but... one good thing about skyscrapers is that
they use a lot of glass to build them.
And glass means reflections. And reflections usually make things
more interesting... And the lack of other attractions in the area made
me focus on the imaginary world rather than the reality.
But I also learned a few things about Houston... For example, the
sky there in February is very cloudy, and the square windows reflect and
pixelate them, creating some kind of artificial reality... It was
actually pretty cool.
One of the main attractions in the area is Waterwall Park, and it
looks really nice. I can only imagine how popular this place is during
the hot summer months, when the mist brings some relief to the guests...
So... let's just walk around and look at the reflections, shapes
and shadows... and maybe next time I will find something else to share
with you :)
The pictures were taken on February 07-09, 2025.
