The Saturday right after Thanksgiving brings a lot of people to the
streets of Denver. Everything seemed a bit overcrowded, and it looked
like a good idea to escape from a bustling city and spend a couple of
hours just walking up the slopes and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
And... sometimes you are not up to spending too much time in the car to
get there. If so... you can always just pass Golden and take a short (or
longer) hike at Mount Galbraith.
I've always loved looking at the houses perched on top of the ridge...
I can only imagine how beautiful the view from the windows of this house is...
If you look the other way, you can see downtown Denver peeking out between the slopes of Table Mountain and Mount Galbraith...
The most amazing thing we saw this time were the clouds... not only did they look gorgeous...
...but they had a rainbow halo that we had never seen before.
A cloud bridge... It looked like you could almost walk on it!
At some point we looked up and saw a couple of hawks soaring high
in the sky looking for some lunch. I guess they would be happy to snatch
a mouse or two :)
