About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Golden... golden... Golden...

When it's fall and the leaves are bright and yellow, we all want to spend some time walking and enjoying these vibrant colors and the feeling of fall... Especially when the days are still warm and the sky is blue :)

And one of the better places to find some fall colors is a small town of Golden. It got its name from gold mines, but every fall the golden leaves add another meaning, and golden Golden is the best definition of the town...

Last Saturday we went there early in the afternoon, when the sun was rolling down and adding some additional warmth to the bright yellow and orange leaves. So... we just strolled along the streets without any purpose... just for the sake of enjoying fresh air and vibrant colors.

The town is small, so it only took a few minutes to get to Clear Creek and walk along it, enjoying the blue sky, the shallow but still fast stream and the bright colors marking the creek banks...

We stepped down to stay near the water and returned back to the trail... We looked up and down the stream and... had no plans other than to have a good time...

We walked under Main street (hmm... under the bridge, I guess) and turned around just to see how beautiful the view was!

And... it was Saturday in Golden, so... it's hard not to find a wedding posing for photos and... there were actually two weddings there that wanted to take some memorable pictures :)

We crossed the creek and turned onto Main street, where we stopped at a restaurant to have dinner before heading home...

Just a couple of hours there, and we felt refreshed and ready to be back to bustling Denver... But as we left, we agreed that we needed to do this again... maybe even next weekend, before the snow and winter chill killed the leaves and changed the landscape from bright and inviting to dull and wintry...

The pictures were taken on October 26, 2024.
