About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.

Lotus and some other flowers...

There wasn't much sunshine last Saturday and the temperatures remained relatively cool, so it was a good time to go look for more flowers. And the flowers in the Botanical Garden looked simply amazing (in fact, as usual).

And I discovered a few more interesting plants. Like this one that grew thorns to protect the leaves. I don't think any animal would be interested in tasting these leaves ;)

But the best find was lotuses. Blooming and not... so simple, but also so intricate...

I'm not sure if I even saw lotus flowers before. I've definitely heard a lot about them, but haven't had the opportunity to see it in bloom. And it turned out as beautiful as the story tells. Even before flowering it looks simply stunning...

These days you can find the flowers at all stages - buds, blossoming, in full bloom and the boxes... And I really liked them all!

But it wasn't just the lotus that caught my attention that day. The damselflies were warming up and posing patiently...

The water lilies of different colors were really attractive too, but most of them were still closed...

If you are near ponds, you will not be able to miss large leaves of different textures. And if you look closely, you can find a lot of different features. Just use your imagination and you will see hills and valleys...

Or veins... or intricate patterns...

And these leaves can also be super reflective... I had no idea that this was even possible :)

But it wasn't just flowers that attracted people... Ducks were everywhere too ;)

And also a very friendly cat (I think his name was Uzi), who greeted visitors and then retreated into the shadows under the dense greenery...

It was such a pleasant day to wander around the garden and admire the flowers, animals and leaves of all kinds...

The pictures were taken on July 21, 2024.
