There wasn't much sunshine last Saturday and the temperatures
remained relatively cool, so it was a good time to go look for more
flowers. And the flowers in the Botanical Garden looked simply amazing
(in fact, as usual).
And I discovered a few more interesting plants. Like this one that
grew thorns to protect the leaves. I don't think any animal would be
interested in tasting these leaves ;)
But the best find was lotuses. Blooming and not... so simple, but also so intricate...
I'm not sure if I even saw lotus flowers before. I've definitely
heard a lot about them, but haven't had the opportunity to see it in
bloom. And it turned out as beautiful as the story tells. Even before
flowering it looks simply stunning...
These days you can find the flowers at all stages - buds,
blossoming, in full bloom and the boxes... And I really liked them all!
But it wasn't just the lotus that caught my attention that day. The damselflies were warming up and posing patiently...
The water lilies of different colors were really attractive too, but most of them were still closed...
If you are near ponds, you will not be able to miss large leaves of
different textures. And if you look closely, you can find a lot of
different features. Just use your imagination and you will see hills and
valleys...
And these leaves can also be super reflective... I had no idea that this was even possible :)
But it wasn't just flowers that attracted people... Ducks were everywhere too ;)
And also a very friendly cat (I think his name was Uzi), who
greeted visitors and then retreated into the shadows under the dense
greenery...
It was such a pleasant day to wander around the garden and admire the flowers, animals and leaves of all kinds...
