About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Bits and pieces...

Flowers are beautiful, aren't they? But today I want to look at blooms differently... Instead of the whole, I want to look at the parts. At bits and pieces. See the colors and shapes... And I'd like to start from this poppy... Bright and intricate...

The poppies were so bright that I wanted to see something more delicate next... and what could be better than white irises? With its complex and unimaginable petals curling around the center piece... sparkling in the sun...

Yeah, I know I promised you parts only... but I couldn't just walk past these California Poppies and not snatch this image, aren't they adorable?

But the irises were the best. Simply the best of the best... they come in different colors and patterns and... I love them dearly ;)

These flowers seem very simple and subtle when you see them from a human's height... you can pass by without noticing them, but if you get closer and have a better look... you will find out that they are more complex and mysterious.

I think I could spend hours looking at iris petals and tracing the lines. Thinking of them as roads or mountain ridges of the world we will never be able to visit...

There were very few tulips in the garden today. But they still attract visitors, especially these wild-looking and very simple ones.

This iris is amazing and unbelievably beautiful! Isn't it? And what about the next one? :)

And... we started with poppy so let's end with the poppy too... California Poppy :)

The pictures were taken on May 15, 2024.
