Mount Falcon Park is an amazing place. It is so close to Denver and
also such a nice location to spend a couple of hours... I've done it
many times, summer and spring, winter and fall... And I honestly think
this is one of the best places to go, especially in the hot summer,
because it's a good 10-15 degrees cooler up there ;)
Anyway... a few years ago I went there
in
early January and was surprised. I definitely expected to find more snow... but had no complaints about what I found there.
The views were stunning and the trails were good. I hiked for just
over an hour and returned back home. Like I said - great place for a
quick getaway to recharge the batteries ;)
Do you know what surprised me most? Look here - Spring time, time for hike -
the same place, only in April... And it looks very much the same :) The
same light layer of snow... same gray and dull colors... If I don't
check the dates, I would say it was the same week ;)
