About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

The night in Breckenridge. Budweiser Snow Sculpture Festival 2019

Breckenridge is a great place to relax... It's especially beautiful in the fall (don't believe me? click here to check it out - Fall colors). Summer is good too... but winter is truly the best time... Especially two weekends in late January when the Budweiser Snow Sculpture Festival attracts teams from all over the world to carve blocks of snow and create some beauty (click here - Snowflake plus snowflake... finally we can make a snow sculpture, can't we? or here - Breckenridge Snow Sculptures Festival 2015 to see some of them).

We've been there many times and enjoyed it tremendously... But... traffic is usually bad, and in 2019 we didn't want to spend three hours driving back home, so... we decided to go late and see a night show... See snow sculptures in artificial (and colorful too) light...

So... things were different! Everything looked just absolutely not as under the sunlight. And... there was less traffic for sure, so that was a big win too!

Just look at it! Isn't it amazing and beautiful? What do you think?

Actually, next year we repeated the trip and enjoyed it even more - we arrived earlier and had an opportunity to see how the darkness changes the perception of the exhibit... click here to watch it too - Breckenridge Snow Sculptures Festival 2020.
And before returning back home, we enjoyed a night town and even had dinner at the crowded Crepes ala Cart place. Right, you have to wait in line any time of day you want to eat something there. Day or night, they are always busy (and, believe me, for a reason ;) ). Anyway, click here to see the Brek at night - Brek at night.

Pictures were taken on January 26, 2019.

  1. Incredible sculptures that are even more impressive when they’re lit up in the evening.
