Back in August is a good time to look at some flowers ;) Yes, let's
make another trip back in time and admire the August flowers...
In fact, there are not as many new flowers popup in August. Most of
them have already withered and disappeared, leaving nothing behind...
or some seeds on the plumage to help them to find a new place to grow
next year.
But... some of the flowers are still blooming (probably they just guessed at the time when bees and butterflies have less attractive targets and won't miss those brave enough to wait until the end of the summer to come out...
Just a reminder - the fall is coming! Time to dry out and hide the beauty until next year.
Surprisingly, not only the flowers are just opening, but also some
of the leaves. Honestly, I've never looked close enough to see them, but
this time I found some fresh greenery just on the side of the trail.
Interesting...
There are still plenty of sunflowers and they catch sunlight and return it back in the form of bright flowers...
The milkweed is ready to seed and is opening its seed pods. Small
seeds, but long tails ... Hmm... are they tails or feathers? Anyway,
there are a lot of them flying around in the air in August and... it
just means next year we will have a lot of milkweed growing far from the
current flowers ;)
Small and blue... simple and very attractive... These will bloom
for a long time... all fall... until the snow hides them until spring
time...
Never learnt the name of this tree... Love the small yellow
fragrant flowers that cover its branches in June and the small berries
that fall from them in August. Probably I need to look it up, what do
you think?
Pinecones... flowers... seeds... August brings more varieties than any other month... but less colors...
