That's what we all do in the fall time - chasing the fall colors.
And the Golden Gate Canyon is a perfect place for it... There are a lot
of aspen trees, and their foliage turns from green to pure gold in a
matter of days, and if you find the right moment, you'll be rewarded
with some gold...
This fall is long and warm... and it wasn't easy to find the right moment to go to the park to admire the foliage... And the colors were not as bright as last year, but they were never the same, weren't they? Also, I had a strong feeling that it was too late to change colors this year... but when I checked the dates for last year's color hunt, I discovered that I was wrong! Last year we walked the same route over two weeks later and the foliage was thicker and brighter (click here to see it yourself - Golden Gate Canyon - Golden Fall Colors).
Either way, it was a beautiful day spent in the park, watching for
bright yellow aspen trees and breathing in the warm, fragrant air... so,
walk with me and see what I saw on this beautiful September day...
