It was a long Sunday and we were... umm... tired to death when we
finally reached Meeker, a small town on the banks of the White River, a
few hours from our last stop...
We chose Meeker to spend the night not only because it was on our
way back home, but also because we had already been in the town and
liked it very much. So it was obvious that we needed to stop there on
our way back...
This time we had other plans. We enjoyed a quiet night at the hotel and wanted to explore some streets outside downtown...
So we had our breakfast and just drove around, stopping here and there and enjoying this town.
Monday, Memorial day, and expectantly the town was sleepy... We
hardly met anyone in this town, hidden behind the trees, between the
mountains and the river.
And you know, we didn't get bored at all. We loved it even more! Now we knew that we definitely need to visit it again, probably in the fall, when the hunters fill it up and create a kind of crowd on the streets ;)
