About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Long weekend...

South Valley is a great place to spend a couple of hours. Close to the city (probably the closest location you can find), beautiful and easy to hike. So we went there on Saturday morning and... it was absolutely amazing!

Unfortunately the sky was cloudless and a bit boring. Although red rocks look great on blue ;)

But... look here to see the same place with better skies (and also there are more pictures of the park here as well) - South Valley Park hike

However... a couple of the most stunning views from Saturday's hike.

Sunday morning was nice and warm and we decided to take a walk around the lake in the City Park... And admire the snow egrets while walking there ;)

And little ducklings ;) fluffy and fast...

The snow egret looking for a breakfast ;)

Magnificent cormorants were flying in the sky again (they always do that!).

Have no idea why this egret disliked the smaller one so much, but it chased it out everywhere ;(

Nice and tasty snack...

Taking a bath (and making a lot of splashes too)...

And drying after a bath. These common grackles were so funny...

Really mean cormorant... I didn't like the way it looked at me...

You see? The same egrets, and the bigger one is really angry again!

90-degrees turn before finding a landing spot and chasing the small egret again...

Pictures were taken on May 27-29, 2023.
