About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

One day in New York - wrapping it up

Click here if you'd like to have a walk in Central Park - One day in New York - walking in Central Park or off the rails again ;)

Before returning to the streets of New York we found a nice bench on the sunny side and had our lunch. This short break helped a lot and we felt like we had gotten the second wind.

We started to explore Mid Manhattan streets again. We still moved chaotically and made left and right turns without much thinking. We even walked back and forth...

We even looked up (but just to confirm even though we were surrounded by skyscrapers, the blue sky was still up there...).

At some point we found ourselves back at the IBM headquarters . This time at the main entrance ;) We were walking in circles, actually :)

After a few more hours we started looking for a subway station. We needed to go back to Chinatown to catch our 6PM bus...

Twenty minutes underground and we surfaced and walked to the station. A big (and unpleasant) surprise was waiting for us there. The driver looked at our tickets and said we can't take this bus, because we had tickets for tomorrow's date :-) We didn't check the date when we bought the tickets a day before and missed it was wrong... We were facing an opportunity to spend not only a day, but also a night in New York and we weren't really thrilled. The only hope was that the last bus in two hours has some spare seats we can take.

We decided to have dinner and continue to explore the city. We moved out of the bus station first thing in the morning and only now we figured out the Hudson river was just three blocks away.

We walked slowly and enjoyed such nice views of the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge before returning to the station.

Thanks to the guys from Yo Bus, because they found some seats for us in the last bus and we returned back to Philadelphia with no further adventures.

It was a very long day with many surprises. We liked them all (even the mishap with tickets felt like a nice one once we were on the bus). We walked miles along the streets and enjoyed Central Park. We looked at the bright crowd celebrating Easter and were surprised the city streets weren't crowded at all. We saw a lot and had tons of impressions. And we still had a couple of days to recover from this one day trip to the city well known all around the globe...

Pictures were taken on April 20, 2014.
