About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Life of birds

There are a lot of different birds that call Colorado home. We see many of them every day, but some of them are not as common and you need to go somewhere to see them. City Park, for example. Did you know the small island in the middle of City Park is home for a big community of gorgeous black birds? Not a Blackbirds though ;)
You can meet Double-Crested Cormorants in many places in Colorado, but in City Park they have an island where they feel at home. Stop by and watch these big birds cutting through the air with great speed...

"Hey! Where have you been for so long? We are hungry here and you are nowhere to find when we need you!"

Not only Cormorants can be found in the park. Many other birds also live there. Canadian Gray Goose, for example.

Cormorant thoughts: "Those contractors... they built my nest and now I have to fix it. The roof is leaking and the floor is squeaking... and this stick won't help much, but cost me a lot!"

Sweet couple ;)

Like in a hedgehopping flight...

Northern Shovelers in search of a better lake ;)

Another homey Cormorant.

"My family is waiting for me... I need to get there quickly!"

"Almost there... one more second and I can rest and feast..."

Gray and gorgeous. Greater White-fronted Goose.

Ring-billed Gull circling high in the sky...

Magpie. Surprisingly quiet.

American Robin. Hungry and looking for some earthworms.

Cormorant again. Coming for a landing... Hm... landing on the tree? Sounds weird...

There weren't any worms, but Robin still found something tasty and looked really happy.

"I am home! I am home! Open the door!"

This is a family. Big family...

And this is a black sheep of the family. Oops, sorry, Snow Goose of the family ;)

When you go for a fly, you better have some company! - the geese said.

Nope, flying in the crowd sucks. I like to fly alone! - the Ring-billed Gull answered ;)

Mallard is basking in the sun.

"Walls are fixed. Now I need to bring some cushions to line our nest. We are expecting!"

- Where are we going?
- Tell you when we are there, trust me, you like it!

Going against the wind.

Always in a hurry...
