It happened a long time ago. We drove to the mountains to see how
Echo Lake looked frozen and covered with snow... But first we stopped to
watch some buffaloes... Aren't they gorgeous?
I like this view. You see it all the time when driving up I-70, but
when you drive you can see this mountain ridge for only a dozen
seconds, but if you stop and go on the bridge above I-70 you can enjoy
it for as long as you wish...
Finally - Echo Lake. Hm... I'd said... it's boring... Ice and snow
hide the lake and make everything look just a snow field in the middle
of the evergreen forest.
But at least we found a couple of birds feeding on the bushes.
Is it a lake again? Actually not. This is just an open space just a few steps off the parking lot.
And we couldn't resist to stop at the bridge and look back and at the buffaloes again ;)
