About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Friday morning in downtown

It is really nice to see any place when there are no people and it looks different. Not as we used to see it every day. And if you'd like to go and see humanless downtown - go there in the morning.

It is still dark and there are very few cars and almost no people. And everything looks not the same as when the sun is up and everything is busy. Cars are moving along the streets... People are walking to and from... But not in the early morning. Look for yourself.

There are not many lights in the tall buildings and they look abandoned. I totally understand it is not true and in just an hour or two there will be enough lights and people, but in the morning it's different...

And also reflections... Downtown is the kingdom of glass and glass means reflections. Straight and distorted... Easy to recognize and abstract... That is what I really like most about wandering there and looking around and searching for nice looking images even if I have no idea what it is ;)

Can you imagine 16th Mall St with no crowd? I definitely cannot ;)

I always was fascinated with the images you can see in the mirror-like windows and wall panels... And I have a feeling some architects design buildings to reflect everything and to create a new reflected world. Edges and angles definitely help with changing the shapes and colors and mix them all together...

Pictures were taken on January 06, 2023.
