Fall colors in Colorado are bright and bold. To enjoy them all you
need is to drive up to the mountains and look for the aspens. Echo Lake
is one of the most popular destinations to look for the orange and
gold...
Some years the colors come earlier and some years later. Late
September in 2015 was nice and warm so the colors changed only at
elevation above 8000 feet.
And Squaw Pass Road is the best path to get there...So we jumped into
the car and soon we were sitting on the rocks and enyong nice day in the
mountains ;)
And the colors were bright! Look for yourself!
The aspens turned to the colors and performed well... even downhills everything looked green and summery, up to the mountains Fall already came...
Later we drove a little bit further and had a nice hike around Echo Lake...
Looked at the trout (no one was hurt, fish lovers, don't you worry ;) ).
On the way back we stopped at the summit to look down at the
valley... I love this place - it looks gorgeous in Spring, Summer and
Fall... I guess I need to try driving there in the Winter to confirm
this time of the year is no exception ;)
Pictures were taken on September 20, 2015.
