About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

August Flowers

The days are still hot, but not as toasty as they were in August... The nights are much cooler now.  But there are only a few flowers still blooming and grass areas don't look as bright as they were before. Let's look back and enjoy the colors and shapes we admired during Summer days, should we?

Sunflower... Big, bright yellow and very attractive to bees and wasps. It is almost impossible to pass by without looking at it.

I passed this shrub so many times and always was surprised with its seeds that attached to a long, fuzzy, white plume up to 4 inches long. Most of them create almost perfect spirals. Interesting plant this Birchleaf Mountain Mahogany. I never thought about something like that...

Red Columbine...I personally prefer blue or white, but reds are looking nice too.

I was surprised to find the Prickly Poppies are already drying out. Not all of them, some are still in full bloom, but a few of these have already changed color of the seed pods  and opened them...

Is Fall really just around the corner? Maybe not... The Lavender Thrift is still showing up. Believe it or not, I found a couple of plants in my area in 2020, but didn't see any next year or this Summer. Interesting... I thought they would stay in one place and bloom there every year. Now I am really glad I had some pictures of this beauty.

The Juniper is decorated with big strange looking berries. They also look like they are made from wood...

Bees are still working hard on collecting honey...

Pictures were taken on August 02, 2022.
