We all have some reasons to wait impatiently for Fall time. The
biggest one is that the hot Summer is finally giving up and the cooler
season is rolling towards Winter. It is especially true after the toasty
Summer like we had back in 2018... Even if we don't need to wait for a
long time, still, let's turn on the time machine and jump a month ahead
and enjoy Fall colors...
That September Sunday we started from Georgetown and made our way
to Grant, where we turned right and continued to Guanella Pass, one of
the most beautiful places to enjoy Fall colors in Colorado.
Actually we expected the aspens to turn yellow by this time and
were surprised to find out that most of the trees below the 8,000 feet
mark still wore Summer green, instead of Fall yellow. But above this
elevation everything changed and bright yellow and orange made a nice
contrast to evergreen green ;)
Pictures were taken on September, 23 2018.
