Over a decade ago we made a quick trip to San Francisco. And it was
really quick (actually just one day) so we didn't have a chance to see
much... We landed in the airport in the morning and took a train
downtown.
Actually, it was the subway, not just a regular train, but does
that really matter? The speed was really important for us so we were
glad to reach downtown in less than 30 minutes.
We switched gears, I mean transportation, and after another trip on
the bus we ended up around the Russian Hills where we had a chance to
wander around and look at everything that caught our eye.
San Francisco is a very special place. The hills are everywhere and
you are constantly moving up and down and... it is not that easy as it
sounds. Walking up the hills is... mmm... hard but as a reward you can
find some nice views to the bay down the street, old houses here and there and also a lot of flowers blooming
even at the end of August!
So... we walked up and down again and again and, honestly, really enjoyed that!
Restaurants, churches, gardens...
I know, you think I was tired by this point and couldn't keep my camera straight... and the horizon line is way off horizon
But take a look at this panorama - That's just a street running up
the hill ;) I remember staying there and moving the eye from one side of
the crossroads to another and back... amazing pictures I should tell
you ;)
