About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

San Francisco, day two, Chinatown and more

To read previous part click here -> San Francisco, day second, the morning...

We left Coit Tower and walked down the streets to return back to downtown. It took just a few minutes and we found ourselves in Chinatown.

There is nothing much to talk about this place, see the pictures and enjoy this slightly exotic location.

Unfortunately, Chinatown is not only a nice and pleasant part of the city, you also can find some ugly buildings or dirty streets. But generally this is a nice and friendly district. About the same, as any other area in the downtown of a big city... Maybe it's just too many hieroglyphs and dragons here and there :-) But they say, a lot of people who used to live here don't speak English and they need to know the prices too :-)

We found a small restaurant which was very popular as a lunch place by the police officers and one of them even flirted with tourists :-) Nice guy, nice girl, nice day... And I guess this is part of the job too - to keep the tourists happy and smiling :)

We crossed Chinatown and left through the famous China gates, one of the well known symbols of Chinatown...

Next we roamed arounds Market St. This is the main transport artery and always busy. The surrounding here looks more familiar and not as unique. I think this is true for most downtowns. You can find a street like that almost everywhere...

Some of the buildings there are nice and some not (as everywhere, right?). Just look for yourself.

Pictures were taken on August 31, 2011.
