About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Midsummer flowers

Summer is coming... The foliage is green and lush, the sky is blue and the flowers are blooming already. But we also not only had some snow just a few days ago and some rains... The temperature is still relatively comfortable most of the days. We shouldn't complain about hot weather...yet... But let's just jump back in time and walk along the streets and feel real midsummer heat...

If you start this journey early in the morning, you can spot some drops of water left after sprinklers are turned off... right... 6:20 in the morning and the temperature is still relatively low so these drops survived... not for a long, for about 20 minutes...

But don't expect to find anything like unevaporated water drops later during the day. It is toasty and you can feel it. But... the heat makes you walk slower so you can see all the beauty that can escape your attention when you walk at your usual pace. Isn't it great?

If you are lucky enough you can spot a nice dragonfly resting high on the tree branch. But only if you are lucky, so don't miss the opportunity to take a picture ;)

It doesn't matter if you are looking for small objects and exercise macro photography. Big objects shouldn't be off limits! So if you meet a nice cormorant, drying its wings after a successful dive for its lunch, don't just walk looking in another direction, do whatever you can to capture this gorgeous bird. Even if you need to use your smartphone (in fact this picture wasn't taken with a smartphone but you got the idea).

Pictures were taken July 12, 2020.
