About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.

Red and white. Sleepy Morrison...

One cold winter morning we woke up and looked out of the window... And everything around was white and puffy. It was a winter morning after all ;) And we thought it was a good time to explore some places. We decided to go to Red Rocks Amphitheater to see if the snow could discolor all the brightness of the Morrison Formation red rocks...

It was still snowing when we reached the cliffs and drove around. Everything, especially the icicles, looked so unusual and nice...

And... also the brightness of the rocks was faded and everything looked just different...

And everything beyond Morrison Formation was so white and colorless... Denver was covered by a snow blanket and looked even better than usual.

We walked around and found our next destination - the town of Morrison, also covered by snow and becoming invisible, dissolving in the whiteness of hills...

Yeah, everything looked so white and fresh. We were just roaming and enjoying the views.

The road was icy or watery, I definitely would avoid driving there, but it looked just amazing!

We found a place we've never seen before - Hot Tub Cottages and Cliff House Lodge. We entered the gates and browsed around and even peeked into one cottage :)

By this time we were already a few hours wondering and really hungry and decided to have a bite. So we stopped and had some burgers in a place that was packed even on this cold and snowy day. Yeah, it was packed but not as crowded as in a Summer time, when the bikers occupied this joint.

Finally we stopped by the creek to see how the snow changed its appearance and... returned back home until next time in Morrison ;)

Pictures were taken on February 06, 2011.
