About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

The last farewell. Hawaii, part 20

To read previous part Goodbye, Hawaii! Part 19

Right... we already said goodbye and left the island. But I want to bring one more topic to complete our story - the place where we stayed. We had this trip in April, the time just between the seasons. We found an affordable hotel and booked it for 11 nights we planned to stay there.

In fact we missed the hotel the very first time and needed to ask for directions ;) Located just 20 minutes away from the airport and really close to the main Kauai road it is not very easy to see from the highway. Well hidden between the trees it was quiet and nice. We dropped the car and entered a huge open hall. No walls but a lot of space.

Small bridge brings you across a small creek overgrown with tropical plants. The rooms are spacy and nice. Nice and clean and we had everything we needed. Even the small microwave and coffee maker. Exactly the setup we needed ;)

In fact there were two buildings just a few yards apart. They looked pretty much like twins, but the second one had a nice small swimming pool and jacuzzi just next to it.

I have no idea why one might need a pool as a hotel located just 5 minutes walk from the ocean. But... I guess no pool is a dealbreaker for so many visitors...

Those two buildings are only a part of the hotel. The other parts are small houses-duplexes. They are located a bit closer to the ocean and hidden between coconut trees and blooming bushes.

This was another pool just between our room and the main building. Every morning we walked around on our way to the restaurant where we had breakfast.

As you can see it was a nice place to stay, close to the ocean and to the road if you want to go somewhere else. It didn't feel crowded and we had a really good time there.

Pictures were taken on April 28, 2013.
