About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Smith's Garden Luau. Hawaii, part 18

To read previous part Morning and evening. Hawaii, part 17

That was a really nice day but now is the time to take a step back and spend some time in a garden. I know what are you thinking now - another garden? Really? Didn't they have better things to do there? And the answer is - yes, another garden and it is a good place to spend time when you are in Hawaii.

And Smith's Garden Luau is not just a garden, it is more than that. It is a wholesome family-oriented place where one can have a river trip, or enjoy the garden or to experience luau. Luau is quite a special Hawaiian style feast accompanied by music, dances and good time.

But we weren't here for luau. We've been to the garden just to enjoy the garden itself. And we had a really great time there, I should say.

African tulip tree. Or sometimes it is called the Flame of the forest and I don't know which name suits it better ;) Isn't it beautiful and bright?

Just a peacock... One of many we met there that day.

Hong Kong orchid tree. Another tropical beauty we found here (and, by the way, nowhere else on the island).

Beautiful Red frangipani. Again...

Just a rooster. One of many (have no idea if there were more chickens or peacocks).

Nice lotus pond. Quiet and romantic place to walk around and think about your future.

Any idea what the name of this flower is? Right! It is Peacock Flower ;) Sometimes they call it Red bird of paradise. I guess both names reflect the character of this red beauty.

This is a regular garden, meaning it is well planned and organized. And while walking there you enjoy it every minute, every corner and every spot...

Bamboo groove. Or forest? Anyway, I wouldn't like it if I need to cut my way through something like that, would you?

Stop running. Take a sit. Admire the view!

Three house? Oh, this is Filipino village ;) Interesting...

You cannot imagine how many coconut trees you can find on the island. Everywhere on the island...

Birds of paradise. Isn't it a nice title for this one?

Blooming banana. I never thought the flower could be that big, actually. But... I guess it should be big to produce a rack of bananas.

Who said the chicken couldn't fly? If so, how did they get there? Huh? Honestly... we learn the chicken are spend night on the tree. Always. And sometimes they fly up to the top of the tree, by the way.

Japanese style bridge.

And New York style traffic and angry pedestrians.

Where are you from? Doesn't matter, it is so far away from here ;)

I should say a couple of hours there were perfect. We really enjoyed them and definitely could stay longer, but needed some rest so we left for a sunset ;)
