Denver Botanic Garden is beautiful. It looks like a huge part during Spring and Summer. Thousands of flowers are blooming during this time and everyone is charmed by them. It's different in the Winter though. Not many flowers outside, but it is still a nice and gorgeous place to walk around.
But... you still can find something new there. Frozen waterfall, for example. It looks amazing, isn't it?
And I found the small waterfall at the end of the park was frozen too. Frozen kingdom, huh?
The snow covers the small pine trees in Japanese garden... This is really the Winter ;)
There were dozens of Henry Moore sculptures scattered around the garden in 2010 and they were moved out earlier in 2011. But a few of them stayed a few months longer and made such a nice view there. We all felt like something was lost when they finally removed and replaced with some other pieces of art.
Snow here... snow there... snow everywhere. Frozen cold and not much colors around. But everything changed once you step inside and walk along the gallery where orchids were blooming. These flowers are so magic! Their beauty is refined and exquisite and looking at them is so calming and soothing. It's like they say to you - don't you worry, the Winter is just temporary... It'll be Spring soon, and Summar will follow, but we are here now and you can forget about the snow outside... Just stay here and enjoy our elegant loveliness...
