About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Morning and evening. Hawaii, part 17

To read previous part Beach, Old Mission and the nice neighborhood. Hawaii, part 16

We had just a couple more days left to enjoy a Spring time on Kauai. And we started the next day meeting a green lizard, who posed for the pictures and raised our spirit.

First we decided to take a walk along the beach line, so we crossed a small patch of the coconut trees on our way to the ocean.

The beach next to our hotel wasn't perfect, but the ocean was. The emerald green water, lazy waves crashing to the sand... salty air and smell of the freshness, that was a wonderful feeling...

There were a lot of dry trees on the beach and they looked so amazing we were unable to pass by without stopping every now and then to admire them.

Wanna a fresh coconut? Climb up the tree and have one! ;)

I have no idea what these small crabs were doing here on the rock. But that was already the second time we found them crawling on the wet black surface and enjoying the sun.

That was a nice morning, and it recharged us so we wanted to go somewhere and see something new. So we did - we jumped into the car and drove north... But as we wanted to see something new we made a turn, left the wide and nice highway behind and started driving toward the center of the island.

It didn't take long to find an interesting place to see. The wide trees were making a green tunnel and we were driving through it for a next mile or so.

Kauai is all about tourists and vacation. At least that is what you see everywhere along the main highway and in all small towns scattered along the coast line. But there is a different Kauai hidden just a mile or two off the coast line. Not as fancy but also not as crowded. Blooming trees and thick greens hiding the houses where Kauaian people live. All the people who make this tourist paradise. And we really enjoyed driving through the country here and looking at something most of the visitors mostly missed.

We made one more long stop this day, but I think we talk about this place in the next story. Now let's jump a few hours and look at the sunset. I know... I know... We already have seen a couple of astonishing sunsets and this one wasn't as impressive. But... it still was nice and warm... so let's stay on the coast and say goodbye to the sun...

It is hard to capture the view from side to side... panoramic picture is the best way to do it, so let's try...
