About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Sparkling glare of Christmas lights

Silent night! Holy night! All is calm, all is bright...

What can be better than driving around the city late December to enjoy looking at Christmas decorations people put on their houses...

The only thing I don't like is a lack of snow. But, what can we do? We can pretend the snow is covering the ground and it makes the bright figures look even better.

The best area to start looking for Christmas decoration is Windsor Gardens. This old community is really famous for their decorations. Every building has its own budget and collections of lights, animals and other creatures and they always put them outside and make the streets look just amazing.

And once the snow finally hits the ground, everything looks even better. Just compare these two pictures... Do you think I am right?

The best time looking for Christmas decorations is the night time. Why? Because nothing looks so nice and mystical in the daylight. Don't believe me? Look for yourself!

The night version is much better, isn't it?

But all of the above was handled by the community... What about single family houses? Are they brighter? More interesting? Let's take a look too...

Definitely they look, probably, even cooler. Just not as good without snow. What if the miracle happens and some white, puffy snow falls overnight and transforms everything to Winter fairy tail?

This house is my favorite. Just like real gingerbread and every time I am passing by, I am slowing down and feeling a spirit of Christmas...

I heard nowadays people are not working on decoration as hard as before. Really? I cannot imagine more work... take a look and see by yourself.

We were wandering around looking for more and more bright islands here and there and found an alley, decorated with small showcases... That was something different and not like anything else we've seen during our Christmas Lights hunting...

Finally we stopped next to one of the houses that was not only decorated with great imagination... The music was playing from the speakers and the lights were dancing! See it!
Sorry for the quality of the video, youtube degraded it to low resolution for some reason and I don't have a copy to re-upload it.

Same house, different tune...

Different house and not as wild as the previous one... But still really beautiful, isn't it?

Pictures were taken in December 2009, 2010 and 2012.
