About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Summer, flowers, insects...

Summer and endless heat, flowers and insects... what else would you expect from June in Colorado? Have no idea. That's pretty much what I expect and, to tell you a secret, what I enjoyed.

Mostly, naturally, flowers. Purple and yellow, white and purple again. Red and blue, small and big... Not all of them I met that day in June, but you cannot expect to see all varieties every day, right?

These Charlotte's Web were sitting on the slope of a small hill and were kinda shy - you cannot take a picture after 11 AM as they closed the flowers, but also there were hiding in the shadow earlier. But from time to time I was lucky to be there at the right time for a nice portrait

Blooming Cholla is amazing. Tough prickly plant one day turns into a bright bush covered with tender purple flowers. Never was able to pass by without stopping and enjoying such a change.

Prickly White Poppy. You know how I love these paper thing petals. What makes it even more interesting - bees. There were always a bunch of bees hunting for the honey around. And quite often they worked as a team attacking the same flower again and again. I'd like to try the honey they collected on poppies. Should be delicious!

Sunflower? Brown Eyed Susans? Have no idea... I only know these bright yellow flowers were so cool, turning their heads following the sun, running on the sky.

And white beauty again. In fact there were a lot of them everywhere. Here and there you could see these white heads waving to the people walking around.

Red bug. Have no idea why, but as a kids we always called all the red bugs firefighters...

And... Cholla again... Blooooooooming....

The pictures were taken on June 26, 2020.
