About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Quiet life in Morrison

Denver on Saturday is noisy, busy and full of running people. And wouldn't it be great to escape all this buzz and enjoy some other place, preferably nice and quiet, easy and cozy, uncrowded and ... I guess you can easily find ten more words to describe Morrison, a small town in a foothill area.

The best way of starting something new is stopping first. For example, to stop and have some ice cream. The small cup of strong espresso and Sleepless in Seattle (nice name for an ice cream, isn't it?) is absolutely what we needed this hot August Saturday a couple years ago. And... maybe... a nice view to please our sore eyes while we were having such an sweet treat ;)

Morrison Street is so slow and quiet (especially compared to Denver's 16th Mall Street) but we were looking for an even quieter place to explore, so we crossed the creek and walked up the road to see the real Morrison, which couldn't be seen from the car window.

That was so nice to walk there - you can see cool pink and white houses, built somewhere in the 50s. We found a great looking mansion turned to be a school (and now it turned into the house and someone is leaving here) and nice views everywhere...

I love this yellow sign... Not sure if it is relevant in August... But it can be really important in the Winter time. Especially with the image of an athlete to show how you will fly on the icy surface :) really thoughtful, huh? And there were a bunch of those around the Morrison. Also we found tons of flowers, houses hidden between trees and grass, ... That was really nice and we enjoyed it.

We wandered around, found a nice mossy bridge across the creek and a cool house down the bank...

Finally we circled back, passed by a pink pig,  stopped to admire a bathtub converted into a flowerbed and understood that we need to return back to Denver...

Pictures were taken on August 18, 2018.
