About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.

Boulder, empanada restaurant and funny stores

As I said in my previous post, before we enjoyed walking in Boulder, we used to stop for quick lunch. You know, this is really easy to find a good restaurant in Boulder... All you need is to stop somewhere and you will be swamp with many options. But if you want something special, you can face a parking problem, so it took about 20 minutes circling around before we found a spot to park our car. And all these troubles because we wanted to have a couple of empanadas at Rincon Argentino :)

But, to be honest, they are worth it. Baked just for your order they are fresh and tasty. And they are different from ones you can have in Denver's chain of Maria Empanada (a great place to try Argentinian empanadas by the way)... We had the steak empanadas (really yummy), and also a Caprese - a great combination of mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and basil (yummy-yummy). These Caprese things are a great combination of ingredients and my personal favorite in any empanada place ;)

Later, while we were walking along Pearl street, we peeked into a couple of interesting stores. The first we stopped by offered Turkish lights and rags. Just a few years ago these fixtures were rare and mostly offered as a one bulb light. Usually colorful and decorated with geometric design. Now you can see them in many places, but this store (Lolo) offers, maybe, the biggest inventory to choose from.

And you can find not only a colorful version, but also a clear glass one (and it looks great). Also they offer some brass fixtures that look new, fresh and unusual. We really had a good time browsing around and comparing different options.

Another store where we spent some time gave us the impression of being just a regular souvenir shop. But now no one store can survive without offering some crazy socks and this one wasn't an exception.

And... oh man, these socks were really crazy - the socks packed in a bento box and looked like sushi or ice cream socks (it was good that we already had our lunch though)...

Regular crazy socks and some crazy slippers and room socks...

That was fun to wander around this place and look at all the small souvenirs one can buy so they can never forget the time spend in City of Boulder :)...

The pictures were taken on February 22, 2020.
